Goddess Lalitha devi is worshipped as goddess of creation, protection and prosperity.
The wood panel depicts Lalitha Devi seated on a decorated throne in Lalithasana pose (one leg folded inwards and the other leg hanging down) with Lions as arm rest, and one of her feet resting on a Lotus. Lalita Devi is also referred as Tripura Sundari-the most beautiful ,with radiant goddess with a charming and blissful expression.
The wood carving is done intricately with Lalitha Devi adorned with beautiful ornaments, decorated crown, a crescent shaped moon, rear hands holding an axe and a noose, while her front hands holds a bunch of flowers, and a sugarcane. Most importantly, Sree Chakra placed near her feet is one of the most important iconographical feature of Lalita. A pair of hanging bird lamps, and a fruit and flower bowl are placed her feet .
